Rainy Day Diaries
Just every so often, I get surprised at what the day dishes out to me. Friday it rained cats and dogs as we all are quite aware, but it rained a few new twists to the plot of our running story too.
Along with a busy day at the old hot dog cart I was visited by one interesting fellow after another. Between the dispensing coffee and the Polish Sausages I had an interesting conversation with the supervising county official. A pleasant fellow. Just wanted me to know that he like my writing on the blog and concerned that I might have a issue with his department. I assured him I had no problems with his department nor for that matter with any of the folks that he supervises. He had some interesting thoughts on current events that I promised to keep to myself. Nice guy.
Next had an interesting conversation with a representative of the 4th Estate (thanks). An equally nice fellow. He had noticed I had been the subject of a lot of conversation on some local online forums and did I take the banter seriously. I assured him that I don't take anything personal. Here and there between the Hot dogs, the subject got around to Klasky. I wished I wasn't so busy at the time so the answer was rather abbreviated and incomplete. But the crux of the answer was I don't like Marxists. He asked, "Why? Do you have a problem with Marxists?" In bewilderment at the question, all I could think of is, "Yes, because I am a Republican." Now I know that was a dumb answer but I never figured a fellow would ask such a out of left field question like that. I will have better answers next time. Hope he catches me on a slow day. Did ask him to pump up the protest. I don't think that was why he was there though. I think he was doing some honey do's, but we shall see.
Oh, it seems that the newest twist to the Klasky story is to have proxies write threatening letters to local leaders about their future political careers if Klasky doesn't get his way. Bad move on Klasky's part.
