Service Man killed in early morning crash.
It breaks my heart to hear about these things. Guys go to war, manage to survive and come back to die on local highways. Please, be careful our there men and women of our Military. You’ve done your time in hell. We expect a long life from you and your parents expect grand children.
On 02/08/10 at about 3:30 AM, officers from the California Highway Patrol were sent to the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 south of State Route 138 for a vehicle that had struck the rear of a disabled tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder at that location.
When they arrived, they found a 20 year-old male resident of Fort Irwin, with multiple injuries.
Paramedics responded to the location and pronounced the male subject dead at the scene at 3:45 AM.
Name Released: Michael Joe Pana, 20 of Ft. Irwin, the date of the accident was corrected from 02082010 to 02072010. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances of the collision.
